A number of direct flight connections exists between Krakow/Cracow and many cities in Europe (e.g. Munich, Frankfurt, Prague, Vienna, Brussels, Helsinki, Athens and others) and North America (Chicago, Newark). Look for the current flight schedule from/to Krakow/Cracow Airport here: From the Balice Airport (located 8 km from the city centre) you can reach city centre by shuttle buses number 208 or 292. It takes about 40 minutes and costs approx. 4 PLN. Tickets are available at the Tourist Information counter in the Arrival Hall or directly from the bus driver. An alternative is to take a taxi directly from the Airport to city centre. It takes about 15-20 minutes and costs approximately 50 PLN. Yet another option is to take a shuttle train to the Main Railway Station (20 minutes ride, every 30 minutes). Tickets (12 PLN) are available at the Tourist Information counter in the Arrival Hall or from the train ticket-inspector. Train platform can be reached with the airport shuttle bus (leaving terminals every 15 minutes) or within 3 minutes walk.

There is also frequent connection between Krakow/Cracow and Warszawa (the capital of Poland). For the current train timetable, please click: If you come to Cracow by train, you should disembark the train at the “Krakow Glowny” railway station located in the city centre, then continue with tram, bus, or taxi to your hotel.

From West: Drive along A4 motorway until you leave the toll barriers before Krakow/Cracow. Take the direction “KRAKOW-POLNOC” and drive straight ahead (direction “CENTRUM”) . From South: After crossing the border between Slovakia and Poland follow the direction “KRAKOW”. When you reach Krakow/Cracow, drive straight ahead until you reach a roundabout (with a BP fuel station on the right hand side before it). Turn left into “KONOPNICKIEJ” Street. Then drive straight ahead, then through a short tunnel and the bridge over Vistula river (you can see the Wawel castle on the right hand side).
