SUMMARY:Guest Seminar: Structural Evolution of Catechol-Modified Hydrogels
DESCRIPTION:The Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology (ACMiN), A
 GH University of Krakow, invites you to a guest seminar by Prof. Deawon Soh
 n from the Department of Chemistry & Research Institute for Convergence of 
 Basic Science, Hanyang University (Seoul, South Korea).The lecture entitled
  “Structural Evolution of Catechol-Modified Hydrogels” will explore advance
 d hydrogel systems with properties that can be tuned through metal–catechol
  interactions.These interactions provide a powerful strategy for designing 
 materials with self-healing capabilities and tunable mechanical properties.
  The seminar will present Fe(III)-crosslinked polymer networks based on hya
 luronic acid and PEG, where pH-dependent coordination chemistry governs the
  structure and behaviour of the gels.Advanced scattering and spectroscopic 
 techniques will be discussed, demonstrating how different metal–ligand comp
 lexes influence the nanoscale architecture of these hydrogel systems.The pr
 esented research contributes to the development of next-generation biomater
 ials and soft functional materials with broad application potential.Date: 1
