ACMiN Seminar: „Molecular Layer Deposition of Inorganic-Organic Hybrid Materials”
It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the Krakow Condensed Matter Seminar which will be held on Thursday, October 14 at 2.00 pm.
The event will be hosted in the hybrid form: you can attend the lecture in person (ACMiN auditorium no. 1.02A, bldg. D-16, Kawiory Street 30) or participate online on Microsoft Teams platform via the link below:
The lecture entitled „Molecular Layer Deposition of Inorganic-Organic Hybrid Materials„ will be given by Dr. Dirk Hagen (IHP Frankfurt/Oder, Brandenburg, Germany).
Molecular layer deposition (MLD) is an extension of atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of organic polymeric films. The MLD of coordination polymers, thus hybrid inorganic-organic materials, in which metal cations are connected by organic anions, has obtained considerable attention in recent years as this group of materials offers a wide adjustability of physical properties and has therefore found applications in a variety of fields including batteries, phosphors and thermoelectrics. Furthermore, MLD and ALD processes can be combined for the fabrication of superlattices. In this talk, I will give an introduction to the MLD of hybrids highlighting the similarities and differences to classical ALD processes and the requirements on precursor chemistry.
