Our centre conducts interdisciplinary research combining materials engineering, physics, chemistry, and biotechnology. Our main research areas include the design and fabrication of functional materials, advanced characterization using microscopy and spectroscopy, and studies of nanoscale phenomena. We focus on semiconductor nanostructures for photocatalytic applications and information processing, quantum effects in nanostructures, nanomagnetism, and the theory of quantum systems.
ACMiN offers state-of-the-art research infrastructure, including clean rooms for electron lithography, equipment for nanoparticle and thin-film fabrication, and high-resolution microscopes and spectrometers.
